STD XI SCIENCE CLASS ASSEMBLY - TOPIC: FROM REBELLION TO RESPONSIBILITY IN TEENAGE YEARS

Value Based Assembly: From Rebellion to Responsibility in Teenage Years

Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Naigaon (E), conducted a meaningful Value-Based Assembly on the theme “From Rebellion to Responsibility in Teenage Years.” on 10th December 2025 at 10 am in the school Hall. Organized by the students of Class XI Science, the program focused on one of adolescence’s most defining transitions — the journey from impulsive rebellion to thoughtful responsibility.

The assembly began with a prayer seeking God’s guidance followed by the hymn “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace.” The anchors introduced teenage years as a “storm and stress period,” where the desire for independence often clashes with parental concern.

A compelling skit portrayed the story of Arjun, a teenager who rebels against his mother’s restrictions and is later influenced by negative peer pressure. Ignoring wise advice from responsible friends and mentors, he makes poor choices that lead to police intervention. The turning point of the narrative emphasized a powerful truth — responsibility begins before consequences arise.

The program was further enriched with inspiring quotations such as “Responsibility is the price of freedom” and “The moment you take responsibility for your life, everything changes,” encouraging students to reflect on their own choices.

The assembly was graced by the presence of the Principal, Rev. Fr. Anthony Fonseca, whose words reinforced the importance of becoming Responsible and of taking ownership of one’s life. Father commended the selection of the assembly topic and appreciated its presentation. Gratitude was also extended to the Vice-Principal, Rev. Fr. Joaquim Fernandes for guiding the students and all participants who contributed to the success of the program.
